Job Summary We are seeking a talented Mechanical Systems Design & Analysis Engineer to support the development, documentation, and integration of mechanical, fluid, and thermal systems. This role involves detailed design work, system-level spatial integration, and collaboration with cross‑functional teams to ensure high‑quality engineering solutions. The engineer will contribute to proposal development, technical documentation, and supplier engagement, working under general supervision.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and modify detailed designs for mechanical and fluid system components and assemblies.
Support system design proposals by preparing documentation and defining high‑level requirements for downstream users and customers.
Perform spatial integration of systems and components, including mechanisms, landing gear, and ordinance systems.
Assist in the creation of technical documents, specifications, and procedures for mechanical systems.
Participate in supplier design reviews and evaluate non‑conformances.
Analyze design results and contribute to formal design reviews.
Support proposal preparation and new business development initiatives.
Day‑to‑Day Activities
Create and refine component‑level and assembly‑level mechanical designs.
Document engineering processes and specifications to support manufacturing and compliance.
Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to review designs and resolve technical issues.
Conduct system safety analysis and requirements validation.
Engage in continuous improvement and support engineering best practices.
Required Skills & Tools
Proficiency in Mechanical Design
Experience with CATIA for 3D modeling and design
Knowledge of System Safety Analysis
Expertise in Requirements Development
Familiarity with DOORS for requirements management
Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 2+ years of relevant experience, or
Master's degree in Engineering with applicable experience
Degree must be from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or related technical field.
