ABOUT THE JOB We are seeking a highly motivated Systems Engineer to join our Maritime team. You will work closely with program leadership and cross‑department stakeholders to design and support subsystems, ensuring overall system performance meets specifications and standards. You will help build the next generation of Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (AUVs) that redefine underwater operations.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Own technology solutions deployed to customers, focused on delivering value to end‑users.

Serve as a subject matter expert in areas such as hardware selection and integration, testing and evaluation, robotic perception, engineering processes, and cybersecurity.

Empathize with end‑users and balance their needs with external constraints in a multi‑stakeholder environment.

Design, architect, and implement integrated systems, including advanced platforms and payloads, with a clear path for architecture and capability evolution.

Contribute to the design and development of reusable technology components across Anduril product lines.

Implement and execute development processes for initial delivery and subsequent iteration of complex robotic systems, including full lifecycle testing, monitoring, and operation.

Support vehicle and payload manufacturing, testing, and deployment.

Travel to co‑locate with end‑users up to 20% of the time.

Mentor engineers from diverse backgrounds as part of a multidisciplinary team.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Extensive professional experience as an Engineer in one or more technical domains.

Demonstrated ownership of complex systems, including design, integration, test, and delivery of new capabilities.

Holistic experience with robotic systems across design, implementation, operation, and sustainment.

Technical leadership for complex subsystems, including stakeholder engagement, requirement definition, roadmap management, team coordination, design, implementation, sustainment, and evolution.

Ability to learn and grow while mentoring junior team members and building team cohesion.

Eligibility to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience designing, implementing, and supporting robotic and/or autonomous systems.

Experience in defense, maritime, and/or aerospace domains.

Experience across the product delivery lifecycle – manufacturing, system acceptance, deployment, and sustainment.

Desire to grow into senior or principal systems engineer roles.

SALARY RANGE $146,000 - $220,000 USD (base salary only; actual offer may vary based on experience and other factors).
