The Control Systems (CS) division of Honeywell Aerospace is responsible for a wide variety of product lines including Actuation Systems, Pneumatic Controls, and Start Systems. This position would be a part of the Tempe Design team who supports these various product lines using state‑of‑the‑art software tools. As an Sr. Advanced Mechanical Design Engineer, you will lead the design of complex components, create 3D CAD models, and produce 2D drawings. You will track drawing changes in Teamcenter, prepare and deliver design reviews, and document work for internal records and regulatory & customer consumption. You will interact closely with project managers and analytical teams to meet project deliverables and milestones. You must understand and adhere to Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing practices, act with speed and accuracy for on‑time execution, and apply Six Sigma tools. You will listen to internal customers’ needs and support the organization in reducing cycle time and improving quality of deliverables. Responsibilities

Design engineering CAD‑based modeling Conduct design reviews for internal and external audiences Technical report writing Cost estimation Ensure milestone compliance Process improvement initiatives Provide support to the integrated supply chain for manufacturing equipment Qualifications

Core Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering 8+ years of mechanical design engineering experience 8+ years of experience creating, revising, and validating 3D models and 2D drawings 8+ years of experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing 8+ years of experience with Teamcenter and NX CAD Preferred Qualifications

Ability to understand issues with legacy models, drawings, and casting tooling, effectively communicate problems, and present solutions Strong knowledge of the mechanical industry Mentorship of less‑experienced engineers Passion for mechanism design and curiosity about how things work Experience with electromechanical actuators Excellent interpersonal skills, both written and verbal Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities Ambition and ability to work with minimal supervision, taking initiative to complete tasks proactively Thorough understanding of applicable design review manuals and best practices Benefits
