Jr. Power BI Developer Location: On-Site (Juno Beach)

Term: 3 Months could extend into a longer term contract

The Junior Power BI Developer supports the development, maintenance, and enhancement of Power BI reports, dashboards, and semantic models. This role builds foundational BI skills while assisting senior developers in data modeling, DAX development, troubleshooting, and delivering analytical insights to business partners.

Key Responsibilities Power BI Development

Build and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards under guidance from senior staff

Write basic to intermediate DAX measures and calculations

Prepare and transform data using Power Query (M language)

Apply standard visualization best practices and create user-friendly layouts

Data Modeling & Preparation

Assist with the creation of semantic models (tables, relationships, hierarchies)

Perform data validation and ensure accuracy across reports

Understand basics of star schema design, fact vs dimension tables, and normalization

Collaboration & Support

Work directly with business users to understand reporting requirements

Troubleshoot data or report issues and elevate more complex challenges

Participate in code reviews and follow established development standards

Qualifications Required

0–2+ years of experience with Power BI

Basic understanding of DAX, Power Query, and data modeling concepts

Proficiency in Excel and fundamental SQL knowledge

Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills

Bachelor’s degree in MIS, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or related field

Preferred

Exposure to Azure cloud services (SQL, Data Lake, Data Factory, etc.)

Understanding of ETL/ELT basics

Knowledge of statistical analysis or predictive analytics

Soft Skills

Eagerness to learn and grow technically

Strong communication and documentation skills

Ability to work independently while collaborating with others

Attention to detail and data accuracy
