About Our Property The iconic Arizona Biltmore is located in the heart of the prestigious Biltmore neighborhood in Phoenix. The resort was named the “Jewel of the Desert” since its opening on February 23, 1929. This gorgeous 39‑acre property reopened in May 2021 after undergoing a $150 million restoration. What You Will Have An Opportunity To Do The Director of Security and Safety leads all safety and security operations for the resort, ensuring a secure environment for guests, team members and physical assets. This role develops and oversees security strategies, emergency procedures, risk‑mitigation programs, and team training while upholding the company standards.

Essential Functions

Screen, interview, select, manage, review, and counsel Security and lifeguard team members. Periodically review Officers and Supervisors logs to ensure completeness and accuracy.

Promote safe work practices. Assist in ensuring compliance with OSHA standards and preventive measures. Assist in the development, administration and implementation of safety incentive programs and safety training classes. Visually identify, correct and record safety hazards.

Lead and direct investigations of accidents, thefts, property loss and unlawful activities. Document details and advise Management.

Direct coordination of training in life safety, CPR, lifeguard operations as well as other company‑approved programs, such as fire extinguisher training.

Direct preparation of quarterly fire & life safety audits.

Review and approve departmental schedules/payroll and make necessary adjustments.

Direct and manage Lost and Found function. Assist as needed with complaints and guest issues.

Preparation and report out of weekly/monthly labor forecasts & actuals.

Execute property loss reports on a monthly basis.

Conduct regular patrol of the property to ensure all areas are safe and secure.

Conduct Security Department meetings. Attend and participate in other required hotel meetings.

Conduct Monthly Safety Committee Property meetings. Develop monthly topics to engage committee members and foster safety conversations around the resort.

Update & maintain safety/emergency manuals for the property.

Complete PGH quarterly safety inspection.

Oversee the operation and maintenance of all security technologies, including CCTV, alarms, radios, lock systems and software systems.

Oversee incident reporting and injury documentation, working closely with HR, claims adjusters and insurance partners, monitoring return to work opportunities (if applicable).

What are we looking for? Education

High School Diploma or GED, required.

Related four‑college degree, preferred.

Experience

Management and supervision experience required.

Five (5) or more years in Security or related experience required.

Customer service experience preferred.

Working knowledge of Windows‑based programs required.
