Key Responsibilities

Collaborate extensively with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers to architect and develop scalable backend systems supporting both mobile and web applications for digital healthcare delivery.

Produce high-quality, maintainable code with an emphasis on stability by conducting meticulous code reviews and formulating comprehensive unit and integration tests.

Dedicate considerable time to hands‑on coding whilst also providing mentorship to junior engineers by guiding them through intricate programming challenges and design deliberations.

Integrate artificial intelligence tools into the software development lifecycle, utilizing state‑of‑the‑art technologies to augment system capabilities and operational efficiency.

Oversee large‑scale projects by anticipating infrastructure requirements, proposing sophisticated AI solutions to complex problems, and ensuring architectural integrity throughout the process.

Work in concert with AI specialists to embed intelligent features into existing platforms, drawing upon their expertise as necessary for seamless integration.

Influence the strategic direction of technology adoption within the team by advocating for new advancements and best practices in backend engineering.

Participate in an on‑call rotation to address production issues expeditiously, ensuring system reliability and resolving critical incidents as they arise.

Contribute meaningfully to continuous improvement initiatives concerning DevOps processes, deployment pipelines, monitoring systems, and cloud infrastructure management.

Engage regularly in knowledge‑sharing sessions with peers to foster collective learning and promote innovation throughout the engineering group.

Key Requirements

Possess no fewer than seven years’ experience producing readable, thoroughly tested code in production environments using contemporary programming languages such as Ruby/Ruby on Rails.

Demonstrate proficiency in frontend frameworks, including React or Vue, for effective full‑stack collaboration when required.

Exhibit hands‑on experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL for designing secure and scalable data models.

Show proven ability in crafting maintainable APIs that prioritize security alongside long‑term sustainability.

Display familiarity with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines for efficient software releases.

Understand large language models (LLMs), generative AI best practices, and practical utilization of AI development tools such as Cursor or Copilot.

Have experience managing cloud infrastructure (preferably AWS) together with containerization technologies like Kubernetes or Docker for streamlined deployments.

Maintain knowledge of logging, monitoring, and telemetry systems essential for sustaining application health in production settings.

Hold a solid grasp of DevOps principles, including automation, configuration management, and incident response protocols.
