About Madrigal Pharmaceuticals Madrigal is a biopharmaceutical company focused on delivering novel therapeutics for metabolic dysfunction‑associated steatohepatitis (MASH). Our medication, Rezdiffra (resmetirom), is the first and only FDA and EU approved treatment for MASH with moderate to advanced fibrosis.

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Manager of Commercial Accounting to support financial aspects of inventory and revenue management in the life sciences industry. The Manager will lead commercial accounting processes, collaborate cross‑functional teams, maintain internal controls, and support audit activities.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare monthly inventory accounting, accurate reporting and valuation of inventory, including standard costing and evaluation of manufacturing variances.

Collaborate with Supply Chain, Production, and FP&A to manage inventory levels, capture global movement of inventory, assess obsolescence, and optimize inventory turnover.

Review and ensure accurate revenue recognition in compliance with ASC 606, including gross‑to‑net accounting for chargebacks, rebates, and sales deductions.

Collaborate with Market Access and FP&A to provide accurate monthly gross‑to‑net accruals and identify risk areas.

Complete month‑end reporting, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and meet internal and external deadlines.

Assist in enhancing and maintaining internal controls and procedures for SOX compliance and financial data integrity.

Support external and internal audit requests related to inventory and revenue.

Support Market Access with AR and customer credits, including calculating monthly discounts/credits and collaborating with 3PL.

Stay updated on accounting standards, industry regulations, and system enhancements to optimize commercial accounting.

Perform other ad‑hoc projects as needed.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field; CPA preferred.

5–7 years of relevant experience in commercial accounting within a public life sciences company.

Inventory or cost accounting experience at a company with commercial operations.

Experience with NetSuite a plus.

Public accounting experience a plus.

Life sciences industry experience required.

Strong understanding of GAAP, ASC 606, SOX, and related regulations.

Analytical thinker with strong conceptual and problem‑solving skills.

Excellent communication, organizational, and detail‑oriented skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team across global time zones.

Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office proficiency.
