Research Consultant - Investment Banking / Private Equity
Blacklock are exclusively partnered with a top-tier Private Equity firm headquartered in New York that is looking to hire a high-performing Associate to join its
Healthcare investment team . This is a rare opportunity to join a market-leading platform with a strong track record of investing across healthcare services, healthcare IT, and related subsectors.
Key Responsibilities:
Evaluate and execute investment opportunities across the
healthcare sector , including provider services, healthcare technology, pharma services, and medical products
Lead financial modeling efforts, including LBO models, operating model builds, sensitivity analyses, and return profiling
Conduct
market mapping, regulatory diligence, reimbursement analysis,
and competitive landscaping to support investment theses
Assist in drafting Investment Committee materials and coordinating third‑party due diligence providers, including clinical, regulatory, and operational experts
Engage with portfolio companies to support
value creation initiatives , strategic planning, KPI development, and performance monitoring
Collaborate closely with Vice Presidents, Principals, and Partners across all stages of the investment lifecycle
Qualifications:
2–3 years of experience in
investment banking, private equity, or another buy‑side role , ideally with exposure to healthcare services or healthcare IT
Strong financial modeling and valuation skills with a solid understanding of deal structures, industry dynamics, and healthcare‑specific drivers
Genuine interest in the
Healthcare sector , including awareness of regulatory trends, care delivery models, and market shifts
Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with CapIQ, PitchBook, and healthcare data sources (e.g., CMS, IQVIA) is advantageous
Exceptional communication, project management, and interpersonal skills
Bachelor’s degree from a top‑tier institution with a strong academic track record
