Instant Impact is supporting an innovative financial institution as it expands its U.S. banking operations. We’re looking for a
Payments Associate
to join their growing Operations team—a hands‑on opportunity to be part of a build‑phase environment where your work directly impacts efficiency, compliance, and client experience.
Key Responsibilities
Process and verify domestic and international payments, including
ACH ,
Fedwire , and
SWIFT
transactions.
Ensure accurate and timely execution of all high- and low-value payments.
Monitor payment queues, investigate exceptions, and resolve transaction failures.
Reconcile accounts, manage returns, reversals, and chargebacks, and support audits.
Collaborate with internal teams on payment system enhancements, automation, and process improvements.
Maintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.
What We’re Looking For
Experience in payment operations, treasury operations, or banking operations.
Strong knowledge of U.S. payment rails, including
ACH ,
Fedwire , and
SWIFT .
Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and problem‑solving skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment with a proactive, collaborative mindset.
Location:
Stamford, CT (4 days a week in office)
