Duties & Responsibilities
Review & determine course of action on each file, utilizing technical knowledge and experience.
Conduct thorough investigations and maintain accurate documentation of coverage, liability status, and damages.
Process bodily injury and coverage claims according to established office procedures.
Work closely with third parties, plaintiff counsel, Claim Director, and Operating Officer.
Research case and statutory law to support investigations.
Document policy status, coverage, liability, and damages on all claims; notify reinsurer on qualifying claims.
Prepare and present claim evaluations for settlement authority.
Maintain reasonable expense factors.
Handle other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
3-5 years experience in auto casualty claims (required).
Experience with non‑standard auto claims a plus.
Knowledge of legal and medical terminology.
Excellent negotiation, communication, written, organizational and interpersonal skills.
Ability to pass written examinations required by state statutes for claims adjuster licensing.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
