Director of Nursing (DON) Opportunity
Palm Point Behavioral Health is a 74-bed behavioral health hospital located in Titusville, Florida, minutes from Cape Canaveral. We treat adults, children and adolescents with a wide range of behavioral health diagnoses including depression, anxiety and substance abuse in a modern, well-appointed facility that serves communities in Brevard County and beyond.
Responsibilities
Plan and monitor the delivery of quality patient care for House Supervisors, RNs, Staff Educators/Infection Control/Employee Health Nurses, and Mental Health Technicians.
Supervise the administration of work schedules, assigning workloads to maximize staff strengths and abilities.
Manage, coordinate, and supervise the implementation of treatment programs and the delivery of services across all programs.
Serve on organizational teams and committees, providing consultation to other departments.
Monitor and assure the hospital’s compliance with applicable standards, regulations, and laws.
Qualifications
Current license or permit to practice professional nursing in the state of FL.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing from a CCNE‑accredited program; Master of Science in Nursing strongly preferred.
Demonstrated working knowledge of behavioral health nursing clinical practices and management.
Extensive knowledge of principles and practices relevant to nursing and patient care activities.
Demonstrated knowledge of effective management and supervisory practices.
Highly developed written and verbal communication skills.
Three or more years of progressive nursing management experience in a behavioral health setting preferred.
