Registered Nurse (RN) Endoscopy

Inova Fair Oaks Hospital is looking for an experienced Full‑time Endoscopy RN to join its dynamic team in western Fairfax County, Virginia.
Schedule: 4x10 hour shifts. Shifts vary — weekdays 7 a.m.–5:30 p.m., 7:15 a.m.–5:45 p.m., and 8 a.m.–6:30 p.m. Weeknight, weekend and holiday on‑call required.
About the Endoscopy Lab The lab comprises 6 endoscopy suites and performs a range of procedures, including Esophagogastroduodenoscopy (EGD), colonoscopy, Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography (ERCP), endoscopic bariatric procedures, and Endoscopic Ultrasound. Over 9,000 procedures are performed annually with the latest technologies.
Responsibilities
Perform endoscopic procedures such as EGD, colonoscopy, ERCP, endoscopic bariatric procedures, and Endoscopic Ultrasound.
Provide pre‑procedure and post‑procedure nursing care, including patient assessment, sedation management, and monitoring.
Assist in the evaluation of patient suitability for procedures and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team.
Maintain accurate procedural documentation and comply with hospital policies and state regulations.
Treat complications, provide emergency care and coordinate with physicians as needed.

Qualifications
Minimum 1 year of experience in OR, Endoscopy, PACU, or critical care (ICU/ED).
BSN from an accredited nursing school. If RN holds an ADN, a BSN must be completed within 5 years of start date.
RN license or eligibility to practice in Virginia (CN).
BLS Healthcare Provider Certification (AHA) required at hire; ACLS and PALs within 90 days.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
RN with at least 2 years of prior Endoscopy, ICU, or ED nursing experience.
