A leading Engineering firm based in El Cajon, CA is seeking a Plumbing Estimator to join their team. We adhere to the highest safety standards for its employees and clients. We offer industry‑leading building information modeling (BIM) capabilities, design/build services, sustainable solutions, commercial HVAC services, and complex mechanical and industrial system installations.
Base pay range $95,000.00/yr - $110,000.00/yr

Quantity takeoff, material, equipment, and subcontractor pricing
Spreadsheet input and proposal preparation
Estimates will be prepared using Quote Express estimating software. Experience with Quote Express or other on‑screen estimating software is desired.
Duties also include on‑site and/or in‑house estimating where the candidate will work with professionals in design firms on design‑assist and design‑build projects to direct the design to meet the budget. Estimator will also interface with our construction project teams and CAD detailing staff.
Must have knowledge regarding safety, worker’s compensation, insurance and bonding, materials as it pertains to bidding requirements. Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications:>
Some college or better
Plumbing experience
3–5 years Mechanical construction experience and proficiency in the preparation of large and complex bid proposals of all types
