Become a vital part of our team and support our mission to guide patients toward lasting recovery. What You’ll Do
Conduct intake assessments through interviews with patients to gather case history. Plan and provide nursing care for patients. Collaborate with team members to create a therapeutic environment, utilizing verbal de‑escalation and therapeutic communication. Monitor patients utilizing CIWA/COWS assessments and measuring vital signs during their detoxification, providing medication as ordered and contacting medical providers when necessary. Consult with medical and other behavioral healthcare staff in designing appropriate treatment plans for patients. Prepare paperwork and medications for patients discharging next shift. Administer and note reactions to psychotropic drugs and other medications. Arrange further medical attention when necessary. Job Requirements
Current RN license in the state of Massachusetts (or the ability to get licensed) Previous experience working in behavioral health or addiction is preferred, but not required Familiarity with CIWA/COWS assessments preferred, but not required Knowledge of health care, detoxification process, addiction, co‑occurring disorders and DSM criteria and terminology preferred Availability to work rotating weekends, Saturday and Sunday. Ability to read and interpret written information; write clearly and informatively; edit work for spelling and grammar. Ability to speak clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; listen and get clarification, respond well to questions. Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook; thorough knowledge of facility proprietary systems. Please note: Former patients may not be hired at the same location where they were treated until a minimum of one year has elapsed since the completion of their treatment at that location.
