What is the Opportunity?
We’re looking for a Project Engineering Manager to support Nuclear Generating Stations in the Detroit/Chicago/Toledo area.
The successful candidate will be working as a liaison with the clients and with a team of Engineers and Designers on the support of plant modification packages.
What You'll Do Here
Serve as primary representative for UECI as a field liaison between the client and engineering group. Provide engineering management and guidance to subordinate staff, enforce company and project policies, and serve as a liaison between UECI and client interface. Plan and manage work activities to ensure successful project execution while maintaining safety, quality, schedule, and budget adherence. Demonstrate and provide project leadership in their area of responsibility, often working under the supervision of a Project Director or above. Supervise and delegate tasks among staff. Monitor day-to-day activities and proactively identify potential project problems or opportunities, analyze issues, develop alternatives, and determine the best approach to mitigate problems or exploit opportunities. Understand the resources and capabilities of other groups for appropriate project integration. Ensure understanding of the scope of work and contract requirements related to their area of responsibility. Support or conduct formal status reporting and presentations to clients and management.
What You Bring To The Team
B.S. Engineering Degree from an accredited university in an Engineering Discipline PE License in any State with ability to be licensed in other States by Comity Minimum 5 years of experience working in a nuclear plant. Preferred 3 years’ experience in a leadership position. Experience working with project teams. Strong written and oral communication skills. Analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to prioritize and organize work in a multi-tasked environment. Must obtain and maintain unescorted access at a nuclear power plant. Field experience / Walk-downs on power projects. Electrical and/or Instrumentation & Controls Engineering background. Experience preparing Engineering Design Modification Packages for Nuclear Power plants, familiar with Nuclear Standard Design Process (IP-ENG-01).
