About the Opportunity We’re partnered with a
Houston-based general contractor
known for delivering commercial, aviation, and large-scale industrial/infrastructure projects nationwide. With a reputation for strategic planning, strong relationships, and accurate estimating, they are looking for an experienced
Commercial Construction Estimator
to join their growing team.
This individual will estimate high-visibility aviation and commercial projects, manage national subcontractor coverage, and travel periodically to develop new market relationships.

What You’ll Do
Prepare conceptual, schematic, DD, and full GMP estimates for aviation and commercial facilities
Analyze plans, drawings, and specifications to determine scope, quantities, and cost structure
Level bids, identify gaps, and ensure scope alignment
Maintain accurate historical cost data and internal databases
National Market Development
Build and maintain a
national network
of qualified subcontractors, GCs, and vendors
Travel
1–2x per month
to new regional markets to develop trade partner relationships
Conduct jobsite visits, walkthroughs, and pre-bid meetings
Collaboration & Technical Support
Partner with internal design teams to align cost with project goals
Participate in design review meetings and project handoffs
Identify value engineering and cost-saving opportunities
Support proposal development and client presentations
What We’re Looking For
5+ years
of experience in commercial construction estimating with a preference (not required) for large-scaled ground-up aviation, infrastructure, PEMB, warehouse, and other industrial projects.
Strong experience in aviation, industrial, or large-scale infrastructure (preferred)
Ability to estimate across all major CSI divisions (sitework → MEP → finishes)
Skilled with
Bluebeam, Procore, Excel , and estimating platforms (Sage, WinEst, etc.)
Strong ability to negotiate, build relationships, and communicate with national partners
Strategic, detail-oriented, and proactive problem solver
Bachelor’s in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related (preferred)
Preferred Experience
Supporting national design-build programs
Working knowledge of aviation-specific construction (hangars, aprons, FBOs, etc.)
