Test & Evaluation Engineering Support Specialist Acara Solutions seeks a Test & Evaluation Engineering Support Specialist for our client in Manassas, VA.

Pay Rate: $40/hr

Responsibilities

Play a pivotal role in project success as a CWL Test & Evaluation Engineer.

Collaborate with CWL and MTWS engineers to conduct testing and integration.

Work professionally and confidently with various engineering groups within Progeny and external entities to define, document, analyze, conduct, and interpret tests.

Identify functional issues and propose effective resolutions.

Operate in a fast‑paced, integrated product development team comprising professionals from multiple contracting organizations and DoD laboratory entities.

Develop and analyze test cases while providing regular progress updates.

Report to a supervisor or manager, demonstrating a high degree of autonomy in your work.

Proficiently utilize electrical measurement tools such as oscilloscopes and multimeters.

Conduct Verification and Validation for corrective changes.

Perform installations, rip‑outs, testing, and validation of tactical systems.

Assist in configuring the lab in accordance with relevant drawings and port maps.

Support informal and formal test events and other customer‑driven test activities.

Identify, analyze, and document software, firmware, and hardware defects and collaborate with the engineering team to troubleshoot and resolve issues.

Support the Logistics team in the development of installation and operation procedures.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Technology or Engineering.

Minimum of 4 years of experience with the AN/BLQ‑10, AN/BYG‑1, Submarine Weapon Launchers, or AN/BQQ‑10 systems.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

Proficiency in software testing and analysis.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

General knowledge of network configurations, operations, and commands.

Navy or Submarine experience.

Solid knowledge of test engineering concepts, principles, and theories.

Solid knowledge and experience with object‑oriented programming, system processes, and scripting languages.

Openly proposes ideas that enhance productivity and efficiency, solicits input, and optimizes solutions.

Team player who thrives in collaborative environments and revels in team success, meeting and exceeding personal and team commitments.

Ability to grasp and apply new information quickly and handle increasing responsibilities with growing complexity.

Additional Information

Upon offer of employment, the individual will be subject to a background check and a drug screen.

All persons hired must verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and complete the necessary employment eligibility verification form upon hire.

Under ITAR, employees assigned to this client must provide documentation verifying their status as a “U.S. Person.”

Occasional travel to submarine home ports for Field Services activities and intermittent travel to support test events in labs and shipboard installations.

Ability to lift up to 45 pounds.
