You’ll Also
Improve our product and software through collaboration with product and engineering teams
Turn a service industry into a software business through consulting with clients and implementing our fund administration software
Interact with clients daily and manage effective relationships
Interact with external auditors and tax providers
Review all client deliverables, including financial packages, capital calls, distributions, credit facility reporting, and ad‑hoc requests
Assist Directors in executing new and current processes within the team
Ensure the accounting team is SOC‑compliant in all processes and procedures
The Team You'll Work With The Fund Administration team at Carta is rapidly growing, with a focus on technical excellence, client management, and innovation.
About You
4+ years of firm‑level Fund Administration experience with recent hands‑on Private Credit fund experience
CPA or CMA preferred
Prior experience working with a fund administrator or private credit investment firm preferred
Specialization in Private Credit fund structures, including direct lending, credit opportunity funds, and structured credit vehicles
Understanding of accounting for Private Credit transactions: loan servicing, interest income accruals, covenant tracking, deal structuring, and credit facility borrowings
Experience managing multiple client relationships
Proven service orientation and ability to interpret Limited Partnership Agreements (LPAs)
Strong financial statement review skills with GAAP (US GAAP, IFRS) and industry practice
Experience with waterfall calculations, management fees, and carried interest allocations in Private Credit and VC/PE structures
Experience with complex entity structures such as master‑feeder and parallel funds, including consolidated reporting
Critical thinking, problem solving, and decision‑making skills
Effective communication, multi‑tasking, and deadline‑driven mindset
Deep understanding of venture capital, private equity, hedge funds, and private credit markets
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and systems such as Xero, Investran, QuickBooks, and other Private Credit platforms
Experience implementing ledger systems or new workflows
Comfortable with fast‑paced projects within a collaborative team
Technology‑driven mindset to automate processes and enhance client experience
Enjoys mentoring and developing talent within the team
