On Call Medication Technician – Kisco Senior Living We are looking for a dedicated, compassionate medication technician (on call) to serve residents at The Kensington. In this role, you will administer medication, assist residents with self‑administration, coordinate treatments, and support activities of daily living while encouraging independence and ensuring each resident’s well‑being.

Shift Options

6:00 AM – 2:30 PM

2:00 PM – 10:30 PM

10:00 PM – 6:30 AM

Pay Range $23 – $24 per hour

Responsibilities

Observe residents and report any changes in condition to the Care Services Director, Resident Care Coordinator, or physician.

Assist residents with medication administration and medication set‑up.

Log medications from pharmacies, verify physician orders, and communicate any concerns immediately.

Track and reorder medications as needed, and ensure proper disposal of medications per regulatory policy.

Perform vital sign monitoring, weight checks, diabetic testing, and assisted walking as required.

Document and report changes of condition and complete care documentation using company forms.

Support and lead resident‑centered wellness programs and assist with general activities.

Communicate supply needs to Care Services Director and collaborate with department teams.

Maintain high standards of personal appearance, uniform, and name tag.

Identify cost‑saving opportunities, support continuous improvement, and adhere to regulations and company policies.

Perform any other related duties as requested.

High school diploma or equivalent.

Excellent interpersonal skills, teamwork, and a positive attitude.

Ability to bring a smile to work every day.

Certification & Training

21 years of age (or meet state requirements).

Current First Aid and CPR certification.

Completed training or certification required for medication assistance per state regulations.

Knowledge of regulations governing monitoring and licensing of the residence.

Basic computer competency (Microsoft Office, internet, and custom applications).

Availability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
