Emory University’s Department of Otolaryngology seeks one (1) full‑time Comprehensive/General Otolaryngologist at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor to join a robust team. Each position will have primary duties at Emory Dunwoody in Atlanta – may also take days covering ENT Hospitalist call at Emory University Hospital.
The employee will have an appointment at the level of Assistant Professor or Associate Professor anticipated, depending upon the candidate’s qualifications. The highly motivated team has long been actively involved in academic, research, and professional endeavors at the national and international levels. Opportunities to teach medical students, residents and fellows, and participate in scholarly activities are available. Duties will include patient care, resident and fellow teaching, and academic productivity. Applicants must be Board Certified or Board Eligible and will have a university appointment.
The position comprises a clinical appointment in the Department of Otolaryngology at a level commensurate with credentials and experience, as well as an academic appointment in the Emory University School of Medicine. The job provides a competitive 12‑month salary with excellent benefits.
POSITION NOTES:
NOTE: Position tasks are generally required to be performed in‑person at an Emory University location. Remote work from home day options may be granted at department discretion. Emory reserves the right to change remote work status with notice to employee.
Responsibilities
Provide patient care as a general otolaryngologist.
Teach medical students, residents, and fellows.
Engage in academic productivity, including research and scholarly activities.
Participate in ENT Hospitalist call coverage as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
Board Certified/Board Eligible in Otolaryngology.
Preferred research and publication history, experience in clinical and research mentorship, and a national reputation among colleagues within the otolaryngology field.
Eligibility for a valid, unrestricted medical license to practice medicine in the state of Georgia.
A controlled Substance Registration Drug Enforcement Administration Certificate.
