Job Description The Manager - SAP IBP IO will play a crucial role in delivering advanced supply chain planning capabilities. They will combine their technical expertise in SAP IBP architecture and configuration with a deep understanding of supply chain processes to optimize inventory, demand, and supply planning, and enhance service levels and cost efficiency.
Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end SAP IBP Response and Supply implementations, including blueprinting, configuration, integration, and deployment.
Conduct process and data assessment, gap analysis, solution design workshops with client stakeholders to define supply planning, response, and order‑based planning (OBP) processes aligned to business goals.
Perform hands‑on configuration of:
Supply planning heuristics and optimizer
Order‑based planning and pegging rules
Supply propagation and response planning scenarios
Deployment and TLB
Key figure modeling and planning area extensions
Guide Integration with S/4HANA through SDI/CPI and OData interfaces
Ensure seamless integration between IBP and S/4HANA (MM, PP, SD) for end‑to‑end supply visibility and execution.
Drive fit‑gap analysis, develop solution blueprints, and deliver functional specifications for custom developments.
Partner with technical teams to validate data flows, performance, and exception handling.
Provide thought leadership and guide clients on SAP best practices, roadmap alignment, and capability adoption.
Oversee and mentor consulting teams; support delivery governance, quality reviews, and issue resolution.
Contribute to business development through client proposals, demos, and solution showcases.
Develop and maintain accelerators, templates, and estimation models for IBP and S/4HANA implementations.
2–15 years of SAP experience with a focus on Supply Planning and Execution.
Minimum 5 years of hands‑on experience in SAP IBP Response and Supply, including order‑based planning and supply planning optimization.
Deep expertise in S/4HANA PP and MM with strong understanding of material planning, MRP, capacity planning, and production order execution.
Proven experience in:
Configuration and testing of IBP models and planning areas
End‑to‑end data integration between IBP and S/4HANA
Constraint‑based and demand‑driven supply planning scenarios
Global template design and deployment
Strong experience in client‑facing leadership, stakeholder management, and executive communication.
Track record of delivering consulting engagements across manufacturing, CPG, life sciences, or high‑tech industries.
Familiarity with Agile/Activate methodology and hybrid delivery models.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Minimum 8 years of experience in SAP IBP architecture, configuration, and implementation, with a strong focus on Inventory Optimization (IO).
In‑depth knowledge of supply chain planning processes, including inventory, demand, supply, and S&OP.
Experience in integrating SAP IBP with S/4HANA or ECC systems.
Strong project management skills, with the ability to lead and motivate cross‑functional teams.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
Analytical mindset with problem‑solving abilities, able to identify and resolve complex issues.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Willingness to stay updated with the latest SAP IBP releases and industry trends.
SAP certification in SAP IBP or related modules is highly preferred.
