Sr. Associate Scientist - Cell Culture and Reagent Development Position Overview Prellis Biologics uses proprietary technology to 3D print lymph node organoids, which we use for generating antigen‑specific B‑cells and ultimately in‑vitro antibody libraries for multiple targets. We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Associate Scientist with a strong background in cellular biology to join our team on a contract basis. In this role the individual will support our ex‑vivo antibody production efforts and develop detection reagents for flow cytometry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cell biology, biomolecular techniques, and experience in flow cytometry and production environments.

Primary Responsibilities

Routinely utilize standardized cell culture methods to elicit antigen‑specific B cells.

Independently perform single‑cell sorting for downstream analysis following detailed work instructions.

Routinely synthesize flow cytometry detection reagents, including but not limited to biotinylated proteins, streptavidin tetramers, and fluorescently labeled proteins.

Utilize a broad suite of biomolecular and biochemical assays including flow cytometry, SDS‑PAGE, mass spectrometry, and UV‑Vis to characterize reagents.

Troubleshoot biotinylation or tetramer generation as needed, optimize workflow for degree of labeling and on‑cell detection using flow cytometry.

Maintain detailed, accurate, and timely documentation of all experiments in electronic lab notebooks (ELN).

Collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams to support project goals.

Contribute to data interpretation and troubleshooting efforts as needed.

Required Qualifications

B.S. or M.S. in Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field with 3+ years of hands‑on laboratory work (industry experience strongly preferred).

Demonstrated experience in mammalian cell culture, flow cytometry, and bioanalytical assays such as SDS‑PAGE, UV‑Vis.

Comfortable working with LIMS/ELN systems such as Benchling.

Demonstrated ability to work independently in a laboratory setting.

Strong organizational skills and excellent attention to detail.

Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work well both independently and in a collaborative, team‑oriented environment.

Proactive, collaborative, and adaptable in a dynamic research setting.

Preferred Experience

Working knowledge of immunology and biochemistry.

Flow cytometry techniques and bead‑based assays for reagent QC.
