We are seeking a

Parent Partner

to join the Sevita Family Support Services team in California. This role is essential for helping families of youth at risk with complex mental health, behavioral, and other needs overcome challenges together.

Role Overview As a Parent Partner, you’ll provide guidance to individual parents or caregivers leveraging your own prior experience as a parent or guardian of a child who has been involved in the care system. Each day, the connections you make and the compassion you bring make a difference in the lives of our participants. You’ll work alongside a dedicated team of clinical staff and supportive supervisors, while growing your career.

Annual Salary:

$49,000 (Salary plus overtime)

This is a temporary to permanent position.

Responsibilities

Provide guidance to parents/caregivers who have children being served through the system, sharing and relating your own prior experience.

Advocate and serve as a liaison between families, children, clinicians, treatment staff, community agencies, and services.

Participate as a member of the Child and Family Team (CFT), trainings, court review hearings, IEP, and other meetings and assist parents/caregivers in addressing difficult issues.

Lead or co‑lead individual and parent counseling groups, delivering education, consultation, or other needed services.

Maintain documentation and record‑keeping.

Provide services in the home and community with flexibility on schedule.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Prior personal experience as a parent or legal guardian of a child who has been involved with the system (DCFS, probation, Regional Center, Dept. of Mental Health, or the like) required.

Probation and/or DCFS case must have been closed for a minimum of one year.

Two years of experience in a mental health setting strongly preferred.

Valid driver’s license for at least one year; reliable transportation with registration and insurance required.
