Plant Director
is responsible for developing and driving the strategy the ensure operational excellence, exceeding quality expectations, and leading continuous improvement, standardization, and efficiencies for the HARIBO of American Manufacturing plant in Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin.
The ideal
Plant Director
candidate will have 10+ years of senior leadership experience in food manufacturing, a people‑centric leadership focus, a Bachelor's Degree, and deep knowledge of GMP - Good Manufacturing Practices.
Responsibilities
Reporting directly to the Chief Operations Officer of HARIBO of America, the Plant Director is responsible for leading, developing, and executing HARIBO of America Manufacturing's strategy as it relates to all aspects of manufacturing of our world famous gummy candies
Develop and monitor the manufacturing budget for the production facility while ensuring we meet and/or exceed production, packaging, operations, quality, engineering, continuous improvement, and safety goals and standards
Drive results, lead the annual strategy process, identify capital investments and improvement projects, drive organizational learning, continue to develop facility as a best‑in‑class operation with a focus on quality
Leads and sustains a people‑centric culture and bring the HARIBO culture to life on a daily basis
Hold facility leaders accountable for compliance with quality and safety standards, processes, procedures and ensuring they are holding others accountable to HARIBO's high standards
Qualifications
10+ years of senior management experience within food manufacturing or related (pharmaceutical manufacturing, etc)
Deep knowledge of GMP-Good Manufacturing Practices
Strong understanding of HACCP
Bachelor's Degree
Ability to travel internationally one or more times per year
Preferred Experience
15+ years of leadership experience within food manufacturing or related (pharmaceutical manufacturing, etc)
MBA or Master's Degree
Skills
Strong financial acumen
Demonstrated strong communication skills both verbal and written - ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization ranging from entry‑level associates to C‑Suite Executives
