General Manager – Factory Operations We are seeking an experienced General Manager to join our leadership team. Reporting directly to the Director of Manufacturing, this role is responsible for overseeing and managing department leaders to ensure the factory meets its financial, quality, and customer satisfaction goals. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, coordination, and strategic planning skills to drive efficiency and performance across all operational areas.

Responsibilities

Lead, manage, and evaluate department heads to ensure alignment with factory goals:

Drafting Manager

Purchasing Manager

Production Manager

Quality Assurance Manager

Accounting Manager (Reports to VP of Controller)

Sales Manager (Reports to Vice President of Sales)

Operational Coordination

Coordinate cross‑departmental activities to ensure an efficient and unified response to business challenges, opportunities, and projects.

Develop and maintain production schedules to guide factory operations.

Ensure manufacturing operations are aligned with monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.

Work closely with the Sales and Estimating teams to eliminate process bottlenecks and ensure customer satisfaction.

Support estimating by providing accurate and competitive production timelines.

Strategic Oversight

Set and adjust production rates to meet contractual deadlines while maintaining profit, quality, and service standards.

Continuously assess factory capacity, controls, and resources to optimize performance.

Approve and implement cross‑departmental policies and procedures impacting factory operations.

Performance Improvement

Lead the response to urgent delivery, quality, and service issues.

Motivate team members and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

Conduct weekly management meetings to address priorities and drive alignment.

Analyze financial statements to identify opportunities for profit improvement.

Review and approve wage and salary increases in line with company policy and financial targets.

Prepare and submit weekly performance reports to executive leadership.

Other Duties

Complete special projects as assigned by the Director of Manufacturing.

Perform additional tasks as required to support factory operations.
