Position Summary The role will be located in Purchase, NY and will support and collaborate with the UHNW Senior Lending Transactors (“SLTs”) throughout the US. The primary focus is originating Life Insurance as Collateral and Securities Based Lending facilities on both the Bank and Broker‑Dealer platforms. The position goal is to support the SLTs in delivering the UHNW Lending product platform, including Tailored Lending.
Responsibilities
Pursuing UHNW Lending opportunities: evaluating the borrower, valuing collateral, and determining alignment with approved UHNW Lending programs.
Drafting and negotiating Bank Letters of Interest (LOIs) under SLT guidance.
Managing the transaction cycle through final credit approval, documentation, closing, and initial funding while coordinating with Credit Risk Management, FA, Private Bankers, Loan Operations, Compliance, In‑house Counsel and other parties.
Meeting with clients and prospects with SLTs to develop/enhance relationships and identify opportunities.
Collaborating with branch and complex teams to train front‑end sales on product awareness.
Performing due diligence: evaluating financial and non‑financial information for opportunity assessment.
Identifying key risks and mitigants and proposing structural protections or terms to mitigate such risk.
Preparing or assisting with credit memoranda outlining transactions, purpose, strengths, risks, mitigants, financial/collateral analysis, and key terms.
Experience
Bachelor’s Degree required; Advanced degree preferred.
Minimum 5 years’ experience in lending origination and credit analysis; Private Banking lending experience is a plus.
Formal credit training preferred.
Skills & Abilities
Strong communication skills and ability to articulate assessments clearly and professionally.
Poise and presence combined with exceptional interpersonal skills to build relationships with sophisticated UHNW clients and advisors.
Creativity and intelligent solutions in structuring sophisticated client transactions.
Balance revenue expectations with risk requirements to meet client and firm interests.
Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills.
Detail orientation with exceptional analytical skills.
Significant accounting and finance knowledge.

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $110,000 and $190,000 per year at the commencement of employment. Pay will be determined individually and may include commissions, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short‑ and long‑term incentive packages, and Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
