Technical Product Manager – High Speed Products Group
Location: Hamden, CT. Position type: Full‑time. Salary based on experience.
Amphenol Communications Solutions (ACS), a division of Amphenol Corporation, designs and manufactures connectors and cable assemblies for servers, storage, data centers, mobile, RF, networking, industrial, and automotive applications. ACS is a leading provider of interconnect solutions for communications, mobile, RF, optics, and commercial electronics markets.
Responsibilities
P&L responsibility for all product families across wire and cable categories.
Drive and manage high-speed, high-data product lines by developing product roadmaps, production ramping plans, cost models, pricing strategies, and product portfolio management.
Cost modeling (direct material and variable costs) to establish cost targets and pricing strategies.
Drive new business opportunity funnel, aligning the business unit and sales on strategies to win.
Define customer and market requirements, timing, and forecasts.
Collaborate with marketing, engineering, business development and operations to identify gaps, define market requirements and close total available market.
Develop marketing materials and promote products to industry and customers.
Work with HSIO Cable and CBS teams to align bulk wire development and go-to-market activities.
Target site KPIs for sales revenue, product margin improvement, negative margin improvement, design win, and response time to quote.
Some travel required for customer visits, training, factory visits, and trade shows.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering with strong business acumen.
At least 4 years of product management, project management, engineering, or technical business development experience.
1–3 years of experience in the interconnect industry preferred.
Strong communication skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel and PowerPoint).
Experience with Power BI or other data visualization tools.
Ability to integrate with cross-functional teams globally and a willingness to take initiative.
