Who You Are The Senior Manager, Corporate Security Headquarters (SM) will ensure the safety and security of QTS CEO(s), all Executive Staff members, and QTS personnel at HQ. The SM will work closely with CEO(s) staff to track meeting and travel schedules, manage third‑party Executive Protection (EP) agents, travel with the CEO(s) as required, and review security planning for all global QTS‑sponsored events.
What You Will Do
Management of the QTS Executive Protection program, coordinating with third‑party security resources, and managing the budget and scheduling of services
Working with QTS Intelligence functions to develop briefing packets for Executive travel, especially regarding domestic and international travel requirements
Provide threat briefings for Executive team members, including trends, guidance, and best practices
Create reports and prepare executive‑level presentations on the status of physical security operations
Liaise and engage directly with QTS HQ Executives from Finance, Legal, People Services, and other departments
Engage with Executive Protection teams from other private sector companies and government officials
Plan, organize and strategize goals and objectives cooperatively with security leadership
Assume 24/7/365 availability to respond appropriately to all requests for emergency and non‑emergency assistance in a professional manner
Evaluate and drive continuous improvement of contract EP agent operations through key performance indicators and collaborative improvement plans
Have knowledge and familiarization with all emergency response plans and evacuation procedures where CEO(s) and Executive Staff are working and traveling
Develop and maintain working relationships with Federal, State, and Local Law Enforcement as well as Fire and EMS
What You Need to Be Successful
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
Ten or more years managing security operations and personnel
Seven or more years of Project Management experience
Seven or more years of experience in Executive Protection Services
Five or more years of experience working with security vendors and contractors
Must be able to travel between 25% and 50%
Preferred Qualifications
Certification from a reputable executive protection training academy
State and local license to carry concealed firearm
Current First Aid and CPR certifications
Proficiency in defensive tactics and advanced driving skills
Experience in military, law enforcement, or prior executive protection
High degree of situational awareness for recognizing and mitigating threats
Ability to perform advance planning, threat assessment, and risk management
High level of physical readiness
Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check, which may include a drug test, credit check, and criminal history review
Must be available for work during nights, weekends, and holidays, and willing to relocate for assignments
Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Proficient with Microsoft Office tools
Strong verbal and written communication skills in a professional work setting
Ability to use professional presentation skills for the most Senior Executives of the company
Experience with detailed report writing
Ability to engage and establish relationships and maintain working relationships with Federal, State, Local, and international Law Enforcement agencies, as well as Fire and EMS
Confidentiality in all meetings, conversations, and personnel matters
