Data Center Operations Analyst - MVS / ZOS - Tivoli Workload Scheduler Location: Onsite in

Weehawken, NJ . Relocation support may be provided for non-local candidates.

Schedule

12 hour “quad” (3 on/3 off or 4 on/4 off) shifts – Nights and/or Days.

16‑week rotation from front half to back half of the week.

Weekends (Saturday and/or Sunday) and holidays required per Shift Schedule.

Responsibilities

System monitoring, production batch monitoring, workload throughput, and batch/system task abend recovery for internal and external client MVS / ZOS / VM/VSE environments.

Monitor and manage internal and external MVS zSeries and VM/VSE environments to ensure production processing meets agreed service levels.

High‑level interaction with internal and external customers requiring effective communication.

Complete daily shift turnover and customer checklists; facilitate written and verbal turnover.

Document deviations in the company’s Incident Management tool with clear details.

Escalate events or incidents that may impact service levels.

Ensure system IPL, maintenance, and backup processes are performed per schedule and procedures.

Document and approve operations‑related changes in the Change Management tool before completion.

Adhere to documented processing procedures and suggest updates to Operations SharePoint repository.

Organize tasks to work independently.

Support operations physically as required.

Perform additional duties as assigned by Operations Management.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree and minimum 2 years of related experience; or advanced degree without experience; or equivalent work experience.

Experience in IT and data center system monitoring.

Knowledge and recent experience with mainframe tools (TSO, SDSF, TWS, QuickRef) and server scripts (reading & coding midrange/distributed/NDM/File Transfer server).

Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).

ITSM concepts – Incident/Change/Requests/SLAs.

Analytical and critical thinking skills.

Tools and Technologies

Primary Tools : TIVOLI WORKLOAD SCHEDULER (TWS/IWS/OPC), BMC Ops AMI, zCAM, Mainview, Control‑D, Mainframe Console & HMC – mandatory.

Ticketing Tools : ServiceNow / ATLAS.

Anticipated hourly rate range: $25.00–$35.00 (contract period). Actual rate based on experience, skills, and other factors. Medical, dental, retirement and additional benefits available after waiting period.
