Welding Engineer
to support advanced power plant designs, including
Small Modular Reactors (SMRs)
and
Generation IV nuclear systems , as well as upgrades for existing plants worldwide. This is your chance to work on cutting‑edge projects that make a global impact.
What You’ll Do
Develop and maintain welding procedures and welder qualifications in compliance with
ASME Section IX .
Ensure welding activities meet technical requirements and adhere to
ASME Boiler & Pressure Vessel Code
standards.
Provide technical guidance on material selection, weld design, and metallurgy.
Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize welding processes and resources.
Investigate welding defects, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
Prepare welding plans, production estimates, and recommendations for equipment and fixturing.
Support code interpretation, material identification testing, and proposal cost estimates.
What You Bring
Bachelor’s degree in
Materials Science, Metallurgy, Welding Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering .
3–5 years of experience in welding engineering.
Hands‑on experience with
GTAW, GMAW, and Orbital GTAW
processes.
Knowledge of carbon and stainless steel metallurgy; exposure to copper, nickel alloys, duplex stainless steel, and cobalt‑based hard‑facing.
Familiarity with
ASME Section IX
or equivalent standards.
Strong understanding of welding symbols, metallurgy fundamentals, and heat‑treatment processes.
Experience in a regulated industry is a plus.
