We're working with an OEM located in Chicago, IL, looking to hire an Automation Engineer who can complete full programming from scratch. You will join an established manufacturing business and collaborate with Automation, R&D, Manufacturing, and Electrical Engineering to create and manufacture brand new and fully custom automation equipment and machines.
This business has an international presence; however, no travel outside of Chicago is required. Your position will focus on PLC programming (Allen Bradley/Siemens S7), SCADA/HMI integration, and watching your projects come to fruition, alongside mentoring and supporting other team members.
Hybrid position (2 days from home, 3 days on site), 401K matching, medical, vision, dental, 3 weeks PTO, opportunity to progress technically and climb the internal career ladder.
Qualifications
3+ Years of technical PLC programming experience
3+ Years of SCADA/HMI experience (FactoryTalk, Wonderware, Ignition, WinCC)
Electrical engineering experience (preferable someone who can support both PLC programming and electrical design)
AutoCAD Electrical, SmartPlan, Eplan CAD experience
Ability to commute within Chicago, IL
