Job Description: Pay Range: $60hr - $65hr

The Kubernetes Automation Engineer will design, implement, and maintain automation solutions for containerized environments to ensure scalability, reliability, and operational efficiency.

This role involves orchestration, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), CI/CD automation, monitoring, and security within Kubernetes-based platforms.

Requirement/Must Have:

Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes (deployment, scaling, troubleshooting).

Automation scripting using Python, Bash, or Go.

Experience with Terraform, Helm, and Ansible.

Containerization experience (Docker).

Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and their Kubernetes services.

Experience building automated pipelines for containerized applications.

Understanding of GitOps principles and tools.

Knowledge of Kubernetes observability and security best practices.

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Experience:

Experience with CI/CD automation using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.

Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK.

Experience implementing security controls such as RBAC, Network Policies, Pod Security Standards.

Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain automation scripts for Kubernetes cluster provisioning, scaling, and lifecycle management.

Implement GitOps workflows using tools such as ArgoCD or Flux.

Automate Kubernetes resource management including Deployments, Services, Ingress, ConfigMaps, and Secrets.

Design and implement IaC solutions for Kubernetes and cloud infrastructure.

Build and manage CI/CD pipelines for containerized applications.

Automate deployment of monitoring tools and implement alerting/self-healing mechanisms.

Implement automated security and compliance policies for Kubernetes environments.

Collaborate with DevOps, SRE, and development teams to enhance application delivery workflows.

Provide expert guidance on Kubernetes best practices and automation strategies.

Should Have:

Familiarity with cloud-native patterns and architectures.

Understanding of scalable and resilient containerized systems.

Skills:

Kubernetes orchestration and automation.

IaC using Terraform, Helm, Ansible.

CI/CD pipeline creation and maintenance.

GitOps tooling.

Containerization (Docker).

Monitoring and observability.

Kubernetes security and compliance.

Qualification and Education:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD) preferred.

Experience with service mesh technologies such as Istio or Linkerd.

Familiarity with policy-as-code tools such as OPA/Gatekeeper.
