Logos Space is a Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite system purpose-built to serve the connectivity needs of the commercial enterprise users and government users. We will help fill an important gap in the market, providing resilient, high-performance satellite-based connectivity services to enterprise and government customers worldwide. Business customers have contracts with agreed-upon performance standards for their broadband, and Logos will build these capabilities into the system from the beginning. Speed and reliability are the foundation of the system. Logos is designed to extend cloud and data center network connectivity anywhere in the world to fixed, seaborne, and airborne terminals.
Logos is led by a team of highly experienced engineers with proven track records in the networking and satellite industries.
Position Summary & Responsibilities The RF Payload team at Logos Space works on turning system and network requirements into trades, trades into executable designs and then designs, implements, integrates, tests and matures the designs to production quality. The Sr. RF systems engineer is responsible for ensuring the success of our network by working through a complex design space from antenna till the inputs to our digital baseband systems (full RF chain analysis). The analysis and modeling of the trade spaces and executable designs of multiple payloads falls within the purview of the RF Payload team with the Sr. RF Systems Engineer taking a lead role. The Sr. RF Systems Engineer will support both bus and payload activities from the idea stage to flight.
You should be prepared to work and thrive in a fast moving environment where you are comfortable taking vague design ideas and turning them into tangible hardware ready for test and flight. We are seeking engineers who love to solve hard problems! Must be comfortable working with high performers at a fast pace to solve these hard problems.
Design and test strategies throughout the design life cycle. Responsible for the overall executable link budgets - i.e. mapping the system link budget to realizable hardware - including, but not limited to, finding COTS parts or specifying and working with partners to build custom parts
Responsible for the integrity of the RF system design through significant analysis and lab based verification of component technologies
Responsible for working with multiple payload teams to translate the executable link budgets and analyses to system designs that can be implemented, integrated and flown in their simplest forms while meeting specifications
Own quality of design and predictable outcomes through significant lab work throughout the program life cycle, The RF systems engineer must set the tone and culture of lab and data driven analysis, design, integration and test for the RF Payload team
Write and own technical documents for the RF systems designs, function and performance, integration and system testing
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with a focus on RF systems and circuit designs, EMI / EMC, antenna systems etc.
A minimum of 5 years experience in full system designs either in the satellite RF payload domain or wireless networking domain with an ability to own and handle large designs
Professional experience with satellite RF payload designs
Understanding and deep knowledgeable of RF systems and best practices in conceiving and designing them

Experience in design and validation for operation in the launch and space environment
Knowledge/understanding of MIL-46, FCC Parts-25 etc., 3GPP compliance specs etc.
Proven track record of working with antenna engineers, ASIC / RFIC engineers, DSP engineers through the entire product life cycle. Starting from conceptual designs and trade-offs through detailed design, development, manufacturing, integration, testing, deployment, and operations in a team setting.
Self-motivated with strong organizational, written, and oral communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in Electrical Engineering with a focus on RF systems and circuit designs, EM theory, complex antenna systems
10+ years experience doing RF system designs for complex payloads or products from concept to volume production
