We are hiring a Controller to build and lead our global accounting function during a period of hypergrowth. This role reports directly to the VP of Finance and will oversee an existing accounting foundation, including one full‑time accountant and an external accounting firm, with the mandate to scale the team and capabilities as the company expands internationally. This role is based in the San Francisco Bay Area. Compensation

$250,000–$300,000 Key Responsibilities

Own all accounting and financial reporting across U.S. and international entities, ensuring compliance with GAAP and relevant local standards. Lead month‑end close, AR/AP, revenue accounting, and reconciliation processes; build scalable processes and controls as transaction volume grows rapidly. Oversee global payout operations, tax compliance, sales tax/VAT, and cross‑border statutory reporting. Manage equity administration, 409A valuations, insurance, and companywide risk frameworks. Lead ERP design and implementation (e.g., QuickBooks → NetSuite) and build end‑to‑end financial data flows across billing, payout, and internal data systems. Support audit readiness, transfer pricing design, and multi‑entity consolidation. Qualifications

10+ years of progressive accounting experience in venture‑backed high‑growth technology companies. Director‑level or above experience scaling accounting from

Series B–D+ stage . Deep understanding of GAAP, revenue recognition for SaaS / usage‑based / digital goods, and complex cost flows (AI compute, creator payouts, deferred revenue, etc.). Experience leading Big 4 audits and ERP implementations; strong systems and automation orientation. Expertise in multi‑entity, international accounting, consolidations, and transfer pricing.
