Overview Join the leadership team as the Director, Technical Revenue & Assurance at Confluent, a remote role based in the Bay Area. Confluent rewrites how data moves to build a streaming platform that empowers companies to react faster.

Compensation Base pay range: $230,400 – $276,480 per year.

What You Will Do

Lead Confluent’s Technical Revenue & Assurance function as a subject matter expert on ASC 606, setting vision and governance.

Own revenue policy framework and author authoritative policies and contract conclusions for complex revenue arrangements.

Structure and influence complex revenue deals in partnership with Sales, Deal Desk, and FP&A to achieve optimal revenue outcomes and speed‑to‑close.

Build, motivate, and grow a high‑performing team, coaching, hiring, and developing talent.

Partner across product lifecycle to assess revenue recognition impacts, operational scalability, and business risk, influencing decisions that balance growth and compliance.

Lead auditor engagement, ensuring policies are applied consistently and SOX‑compliant controls are maintained.

What You Will Bring

BS in Finance or Accounting; CPA and Big 4 experience required.

10+ years of progressive experience at either a Big 4 firm or a global publicly traded high‑tech organization with at least 3 years in a technical revenue role.

Strong knowledge of US GAAP, primarily ASC 606 for on‑premise software revenue and SaaS.

Strategic thinker with strong leadership skills and the ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast‑paced, high‑growth environment.

Proven ability to lead change and inspire others.

Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively at all levels.

Usage‑based SaaS contract experience a strong plus.
