Description TeleSolv Consulting has an immediate hybrid opportunity in our Finance/Accounting Department for a Staff Accountant, which includes responsibilities with general ledger accountability, financial reporting, as well as financial profitability analysis and other special projects as assigned. A qualified candidate must have a keen attention to detail and maintain account balances, financial statements, general ledger, and all reports.
Responsibilities
Maintain general ledger accuracy: account balances, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements
Execute A/R and A/P: process invoices and bills, record cash disbursements, maintain vendor files, handle inquiries
Support payroll processing accurately and on time
Process purchase orders, expense reports, and credit‑card reconciliations per procedure
Assist with month‑end close—oversee work by the third‑party accounting firm and step in hands‑on as needed
Produce financial reports and basic profitability/variance analyses for leadership
Partner with program financial staff on receipts, expenses, billing, and financial reporting
Provide ad‑hoc data collection, reporting, analysis, and support on special projects—often on short notice
Uphold confidentiality and respond to internal/external customer inquiries professionally
Qualifications
Accounting foundations: Working knowledge of GAAP, debits/credits, journal entries, reconciliations, month‑end close, A/P, A/R, payroll, vendor management, credit‑card reconciliations.
Systems & tools: Proficiency with Deltek Costpoint (current, hands‑on); strong Microsoft 365 (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Outlook, Teams); familiarity with PROCAS or Unanet is a plus.
Reporting & analysis: Ability to build clean financial reports, perform basic profitability/variance analyses, and translate data into concise summaries for stakeholders.
Process discipline: Comfort with purchase orders, expense reporting, invoice processing, cash disbursements, and maintaining orderly audit‑ready records; understanding of internal controls and documentation.
Communication & collaboration: Clear written and verbal communication; professional customer service with internal/external stakeholders; able to coordinate with a third‑party accounting firm.
Organization & time management: Prioritize multiple deadlines, handle short‑notice tasks, and maintain meticulous attention to detail in a fast‑paced setting.
Judgment & confidentiality: Discretion with sensitive financial information; reliable decision‑making and follow‑through.
