What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
Maintain and optimize the Charge Description Master to ensure accurate and compliant billing processes
Research and update billing guidelines to maintain compliance with Medicare and Medicaid standards
Perform quality control and troubleshooting activities to monitor charging practices
Analyze industry trends regarding pricing policies and recommend adjustments
Coordinate and oversee projects, preparing reports and presenting findings as required
What is Required (Qualifications):
Bachelor’s Degree in business administration, finance, or a related field from an accredited college or university
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a charge description master or revenue integrity-related position
Knowledge of hospital financial operations, including reimbursement
Completion of designated Epic training within 6 months of hire
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field from an accredited college or university
5 or more years of experience with medical billing and coding
CPC or CPC-A coding certification
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) licensure
Certified Charge Capture Professional (CCCP) certification
