Position Overview We are hiring an
Experienced Real Estate Paralegal
with
10+ years of transactional experience
in
New York residential and commercial real estate closings . The ideal candidate has a proven history managing
real estate files from contract to closing , resolving title issues, communicating with lenders and title companies, and ensuring seamless settlement for all parties.
Key Responsibilities
Transaction Management:
Manage full real estate files from contract signing through closing.
Document Drafting:
Prepare and review contracts, riders, addenda, amendments, deeds, payoff letters, and closing packages.
Title & Settlement:
Conduct detailed title searches, resolve title defects, prepare settlement statements, escrow ledgers, and adjustments.
Bank & CEMA Matters:
Handle bank attorney files, mortgage refinance, and CEMA transactions, coordinating with lenders and underwriters.
Closing Support:
Attend closings (in person or remote), troubleshoot issues, and ensure proper execution of residential and commercial real estate closings.
Client Communications:
Serve as the main point of contact for buyers, sellers, agents, lenders, and attorneys, providing clear updates throughout the process.
Compliance & Filing:
Ensure accuracy, document tracking, escrow procedures, and secure file management using real estate systems or CRMs.
Qualifications
10+ years independently managing New York real estate closings, files, and title matters.
Strong knowledge of NYC and New York State real estate law, settlement procedures, and lender requirements.
Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple real estate transactions under tight deadlines.
Excellent written and verbal communication, with a proactive and solutions‑driven attitude.
Bonus: Experience with real estate CRM platforms, title software, and digital document management tools.
