Job Description
Oracle is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior EMC Compliance Engineer to join our Global Compliance Engineering team. This role supports Oracle’s regulatory compliance initiatives to ensure our diverse product portfolio meets international standards for Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) and regional regulatory requirements. The successful candidate will work closely with senior engineers and cross‑functional teams throughout the New Product Introduction (NPI) and sustaining phases, helping to execute test plans, manage product certifications, retrieve supplier certifications, and maintain compliance documentation for worldwide markets. This role may also include responsibilities related to EMC testing, execution of test activities, and preparation of EMC test reports.
Key Responsibilities Global Certification Support
Assist in executing Oracle’s global product certification strategy, ensuring compliance with country‑specific EMC requirements.
Support certification roadmaps for North America, Europe, Asia‑Pacific, the Middle East, and South America, adapting to evolving regulations.
Participate in planning certification activities for new products entering emerging markets.
Collaborate with internal business units to track certification needs and ensure timely submissions.
Regulatory Compliance
Support compliance activities for FCC, CE, VCCI, KC, CCC, DJID, UL, and other international regulatory schemes.
Work with senior compliance engineers to interpret, apply, and implement global EMC standards.
Prepare and submit documentation packages for worldwide product certification and homologation.
Monitor and communicate regulatory updates that impact certification timelines or regional market entry.
Testing and Certification Execution
Collaborate directly with EMC Design Engineering during the Design Validation Test (DVT) phase to support EMC testing, troubleshooting, and data collection.
Manage product testing logistics through Oracle’s SCA‑09 EMC/Safety lab, including DVT and final test scheduling.
Create and maintain EMC test plans, configuration matrices, and technical documentation for country certification submissions.
Support sustaining activities such as component validation, certification updates, and maintenance of existing approvals for Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) products and systems.
Work with third‑party suppliers to retrieve and verify product certifications for sourced components used in Oracle systems.
Documentation and Certification Transfers
Assist in preparing certification applications, technical files, and supporting documents for EMC testing and regulatory submissions.
Support the creation and management of technical files for product certifications and ensure timely transfer of approved certification data and documentation to Oracle Fusion.
Maintain up‑to‑date Confluence pages summarizing certification timelines, submission statuses, and key compliance milestones.
Track certification renewals and coordinate re‑submissions to ensure continuous compliance across all global regions.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
Work with business units from early‑stage NPI to sustaining phases, ensuring smooth compliance handoffs and documentation readiness.
Coordinate with internal hardware and systems teams to ensure new components meet EMC compliance requirements.
Engage with global teams and third‑party labs to assist in certification scheduling and submission.
Process Development and Learning
Support continuous improvement efforts for compliance workflows and documentation practices.
Learn to identify potential compliance risks during early product design and contribute to risk assessments.
Participate in training sessions and knowledge‑sharing activities to expand understanding of EMC and regional certification processes.
Qualifications Education
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or a related technical field preferred.
Experience
3–4 years of experience in EMC or regulatory compliance engineering, preferably in IT, telecommunications, or electrical product industries.
Exposure to international compliance standards such as FCC, CE, KC, VCCI, CCC, DJID, BSMI, and UL is highly desirable.
Familiarity with EMC testing methodologies.
Experience or willingness to support EMC testing activities, test execution, and test report development is a plus.
Technical Expertise
Basic understanding of EMC fundamentals and international regulatory frameworks.
Familiarity with lab equipment, test configurations, and report documentation.
Proficiency in Atlassian Confluence, JIRA, or similar collaboration and tracking tools.
Skills
Strong organizational and documentation skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a dynamic environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Eagerness to learn global certification processes and develop technical depth in EMC compliance.
