REQUIREMENTS
Minimum of 7 years experience.
Online and batch programs using Cobol on the
iSeries (AS/400)
Understanding of EDI / LDEX processing.
Skills COBOL, RPG, CL, DB2, SQL, QUERY400, ROBOT, SFTP, IMPLEMENTER, ALDON.
Responsible for end-to-end development and maintenance of software.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Code, debug and maintain several COBOL modules on an IBMi platform.
Convert multiple job code modules from FTP to SFTP file transfer protocol.
Create a rolling monthly SQL table load of currently active client/product counts.
Analyze and fix job code errors that occur in production batch processing.
Use COBOL and CL, along with some minor SQL, RPG and QShell scripting, for back-end legacy batch maintenance and enhancements, on AS400 / iSeries / IBM i mainframe.
Utilize Aldon and Robot Schedule tools for source code versioning and batch job oversight.
The COBOL coding is minimal. Its a stable application. primary work is the FTP to SFTP conversion.
The anticipated hourly rate range for this position is ($45-60). Actual hourly rate will be based on a variety of factors including relevant experience, knowledge, skills and other factors permitted by law. A range of medical, dental, retirement and/or other benefits are available after a waiting period.
