Job Description The Solutions Consultant Manager is the evolution of the traditional Sales Engineer Manager role, aligning our leadership to best serve customers in understanding their environment, providing solution guidance, and ensuring value realization in their investment with Palo Alto Networks.

As the technical leader for your district Solutions Consulting team, you will work with the District Sales Manager to build relationships with customers, help them detect and prevent advanced cyberattacks, and keep them ahead of the latest cyberthreats. You will also nurture talent, provide feedback to product management, and champion our industry leadership across on‑premises, cloud, and security operations services.

Your Impact

Recruit and hire Solutions Consultants in the territory.

Train, mentor, and review team members, ensuring engagement and career success.

Support the Solutions Consultant team in complex evaluations and problem‑solving.

Lead and coach the team on technical validation efforts to secure technical wins.

Define and monitor individual development plans for the team.

Collaborate closely with Professional Services, Customer Success, and Specialist teams to ensure seamless implementation and adoption.

Provide technical leadership in customer interactions, sharing security trends and best practices.

Drive platformization efforts within your accounts.

Work with the Domain Specialist Manager to align resources for projects.

Act as an escalation point for pre‑sales and post‑sales issues.

Build and maintain relationships with key customers to solidify reference accounts.

Present as an expert to stakeholders at all levels, from technician to CIO.

Discuss competitor products and position Palo Alto Networks as the best alternative.

Collaborate with Product Management, Technical Marketing, and R&D to shape product features for large customers.

Travel 50‑75% within the region.

With the District Sales Manager, develop a technical strategy that accelerates growth and defines engagement models tailored to the region.

Qualifications

Experience as a pre‑sales System Engineer Manager.

Experience as a Senior System Engineer/Specialist.

Industry knowledge of security product trends and awareness of our roadmap.

Knowledge of delivering comprehensive security solutions to Palo Alto Networks customers.

Experience selling, designing, implementing or managing solutions such as Network Security, SASE, SaaS, CNAPP, or SOC Transformation Technologies.

Partnering with Customer Support functions to ensure successful implementation and adoption.

Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills.

Quota‑driven attitude focused on providing the best trusted advisor solution.

Proficient in English.

Compensation Disclosure The compensation offered will depend on qualifications, experience, and location. For candidates who receive an offer at the posted level, the starting base salary (for non‑sales roles) or base salary plus commission target (for sales roles) is expected to be between $224,000 – $308,000 per year. The offer may also include restricted stock units and a bonus. Employee benefits are described elsewhere.
