Key Role
Support a fast‑paced, innovation‑focused organization in managing the full life cycle of large‑scale Research and Development (R&D) efforts. Become part of a cross‑functional team that shapes, solicits, procures, and executes complex programs. Apply advanced program and project management skills to construct project plans and coordinate program meetings for the client. Assist in budgeting and financial execution functions, including program budget analysis, forecasting, active execution tracking, drafting funding documents, and creating briefings and reports to keep the clients fully apprised of program financials and deliverable progress. Use the client’s financial management system to support procurement activities. Coordinate with Contracting Officers and Contracting Officer Representatives in the creation and coordination of acquisition funding documents, including preparing, coordinating, and evaluating federal funding solicitations. Manage the federal client’s calendar and schedule travel on their behalf. Analyze innovative solutions to complex problems. Execute independently in a fast‑paced environment directly with Government Program Managers and other federal clients.
Basic Qualifications
5+ years of experience analyzing federal government budgeting and financial management
2+ years of experience with Cooperative Agreements or Transaction Agreements
Experience assisting with analysis and support for federal R&D projects
Experience with programs, including supporting budget and schedule creation, and tracking of financial commitments, obligations, and expenditures
Experience supporting schedule, budget, and program risks in a fast‑paced environment
Experience with new program acquisition, solicitations, and contracting actions
Ability to multi‑task and prioritize efforts
Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements
Bachelor’s degree
Additional Qualifications
Experience working with government financial systems
Experience generating funding documents
Ability to display flexibility, adaptability, and a team orientation
Possession of excellent written and verbal communication skills
Public Trust
