We are recruiting for a detail-oriented, self-motivated
Fund Accountant
to join an internal fund accounting team. In this role, you will support the operations and financial reporting of private equity funds, participating actively in both daily fund operations and quarterly reporting.
The ideal candidate is passionate about the private equity industry, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and collaborates effectively with colleagues to deliver accurate and timely financial results.
Key Responsibilities
Manage daily cash activity and reconcile bank accounts.
Calculate management fees and allocate fund expenses.
Record journal entries and maintain general ledgers.
Prepare capital call and distribution calculations, along with investor notices.
Generate quarterly financial statements and allocate income.
Calculate fund performance metrics, including MOIC and gross/net IRR.
Assist with the year-end audit process in coordination with auditors.
Collaborate with internal teams and investment staff on ad-hoc requests and analyses.
Skills & Requirements
Strong ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic work setting.
Positive attitude and proven team player mentality.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (minimum 3.0 GPA).
Relevant experience in fund accounting or the investment industry, preferably in public accounting or internal reporting.
