Responsibilities
Be a trusted member of the engagement team, delivering a variety of tax compliance and consulting services to clients.
Serve as a valued tax business advisor, leading day‑to‑day tax matters with a range of clients from middle market to multinational.
Consult on technical matters and special projects in corporate and flow‑through taxation, accounting methods, and ASC740.
Research tax matters, respond to IRS and other tax authority inquiries, and provide recommendations to clients.
Coordinate with specialty tax practices on complex state, local, high‑net‑worth, international, research and development, and incentive matters.
Manage client engagement staffing, billings/collections, and ensure client profitability targets are met.
Utilize entrepreneurial skills to network and build strong internal and external relationships, acquiring new clients, projects, and revenue.
Invest in professional development both individually and through firm‑wide learning and development programs.
Support the growth and development of team members through the Baker Tilly Care and Teach philosophy, helping associates meet their professional goals.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, law, or a related business field; a master’s or advanced degree is desirable.
CPA or JD required.
Eight (8)+ years’ experience providing federal tax compliance and consulting services in a professional services firm.
Five (5)+ years of supervisory experience, mentoring and counseling associates.
Demonstrated management, analytical, organization, interpersonal, project management, and communication skills.
Ability to lead and supervise others, provide exceptional client service, demonstrate commitment to continuous learning, see the “big picture” and details, display appropriate ethical knowledge and commitment, and exhibit a sense of urgency and commitment to quality and timely completion of projects.
Highly developed software and Microsoft Suite skills.
Eligibility to work in the U.S. without sponsorship preferred.
