The Division of Infectious Diseases is recruiting an Infectious Diseases specialist with interest and/or expertise in general ID and HIV. The physician will provide inpatient consultative services at the Main Campus Medical Center and OSU East Hospital, maintain an ambulatory longitudinal care clinic, and potentially cover additional service lines such as solid organ transplant, Telehealth, and community hospital consultation. Division Highlights
Robust Outpatient Parenteral Antimicrobial Therapy (OPAT) program serving ~2,200 patients annually. Training and mentorship of Infectious Diseases fellows, housestaff, medical students, and allied health professionals. Participation in scholarly activities including clinical research and quality improvement projects. Opportunities in antimicrobial stewardship, infection prevention, and hospital epidemiology. Duties and Responsibilities
Provide clinical care for general infectious diseases on the inpatient consult track. Respond promptly to consultation requests; determine, prescribe, and implement treatment plans. Maintain and evolve a longitudinal ambulatory care clinic. Provide instructional training to fellows, housestaff, medical students, and ancillary staff. Participate in quality assessment and improvement activities. Requirements
MD, DO, or equivalent. Board certification or eligibility in Infectious Diseases. Eligibility for licensure in the State of Ohio. Exceptional critical‑thinking skills with the ability to work independently. Excellent written and oral communication skills. How to Apply
