Job Overview
Akron Children’s Hospital is seeking a board‑certified pediatric hematologist/oncologist (BC/BE) who will also serve as a clinical faculty member at the assistant/associate professor level.
The position focuses on clinical care of children and adolescents undergoing hematopoietic stem cell transplantation, as well as related hematology and oncology services. Responsibilities
Dedicate a minimum of 50% of clinical time to bone marrow transplantation. Provide clinical hematology and/or oncology services for the remaining 30% of clinical time, tailored to the candidate’s interests. Fulfill 20% of non‑clinical commitments including academic teaching, program development, and community outreach. Participate in the hospital’s teaching activities and support the Northeast Ohio Medical University affiliation. Maintain high standards of patient care, safety, and documentation in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements. Qualifications
Board certified in pediatric hematology/oncology (BC/BE). In‑depth experience caring for children and adolescents undergoing hematopoietic stem cell transplantation. Demonstrated ability to serve as a teaching faculty member at the assistant or associate professor level. Strong clinical skill set in pediatric hematology and oncology practice.
