Job Summary Supermicro is seeking a Product Manager who will be responsible for both pre‑ and post‑technical sales activities in new and existing opportunities. The Product Manager will serve as an individual contributor working closely with Engineering, Sales, and extended teams to ensure overall technical design proposals meet customer requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Promote rack system, server system, and switch products.
Work with sales and customers on rack system and complete system products.
Engage with sales and customers to provide pre‑sale technical support in networking related areas.
Help manage switch, high‑speed cable, and transceiver inventory.
Provide technical leadership in pre‑sales and oversight in implementation of solutions.
Work cross‑departmentally to ensure customer satisfaction and timely resolution of issues.
Collaborate with sales, engineering, and operation teams to understand business requirements and deliver products and services.
Qualifications
BSCS or BSEE plus 5+ years of experience in computer systems, rack systems, or networking.
Familiarity with server, storage, switch, and data‑center related products and services.
Hands‑on experience with Cisco, Arista, Juniper, or Mellanox switches.
Experience in Windows, Linux, networking, and virtualization (preferred).
Current networking knowledge in Ethernet or InfiniBand (IB).
Fluency in English speaking, writing, and presentation.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Capable of performing effectively under demanding conditions with a strong sense of ownership.
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally less than 20% of the time.
CCNP or CCNA preferred.
Salary Range $135,000 – $160,000. The salary offered will depend on several factors, including location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
