Kennedy Jenks is seeking a Water/Wastewater Project Manager for our Northern California office. This role is ideal for a motivated, solutions-oriented leader who excels in a dynamic consulting environment. You will manage a variety of water and wastewater projects, including pipelines, sewer systems, tanks/reservoirs, pump stations, and treatment facilities. The position offers substantial career development opportunities in technical, managerial, and business development areas.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee all phases of water and wastewater projects, ensuring compliance with contracts, specifications, codes, and regulations.
Coordinate with sub-consultants, clients, and internal teams to achieve project goals, schedule, and budget.
Supervise and mentor engineering and technical staff, fostering collaboration across disciplines.
Track financial progress, adjust resources, and implement corrective actions to meet milestones and budgetary constraints.
Develop and maintain strong client relationships, identify project needs, and secure new business opportunities.
Prepare engineering documents, contract documents, and project reports, ensuring quality and safety practices and code compliance.
Serve as the primary client contact, leading preparation of client presentations and coordinating with project engineers and disciplines.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or a related field.
8+ years of experience in water/wastewater infrastructure projects, including 2+ years in a project management role.
California Professional Engineer (PE) license or the ability to obtain California PE registration within 6 months of hire.
Strong technical knowledge of the water/wastewater industry.
Demonstrated ability to provide excellent client service and interact positively with clients.
Experience supporting business development.
Ability to travel to project sites and other Kennedy Jenks offices as needed.
Work Model Kennedy Jenks supports a healthy work-life balance with a hybrid model of home and office work, requiring a minimum of two days per week in the office.
Salary Range Expected salary range is $130,000–$200,000, varying based on education, experience, qualifications, licensure/certifications, and geographic location.
