Mammography Technologist – Travel Contract
Base Pay Range $55.00/hr - $68.00/hr
Pay Rate $68/hour
Shift Day Shift, 5x8 hours (7:30 AM – 4:00 PM)
On-Call None
Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Mammography Technologist for a 12‑week travel assignment in Chicago, IL. The technologist will perform high‑quality screening and diagnostic mammography exams in accordance with MQSA and department standards, while delivering safe and patient‑centered care.
Responsibilities
Perform screening and diagnostic mammography procedures
Meet all MQSA and quality assurance requirements
Maintain competency with digital and 3D mammography systems (Hologic)
Support procedures such as needle localizations, stereotactic biopsies, and FNAs (if experienced)
Ensure radiation safety and proper infection control practices
Accurately document in Epic
Collaborate with radiologists and interdisciplinary healthcare staff
Maintain professional communication and patient support throughout the imaging process
Required Qualifications
Graduation from a hospital‑based two‑year Radiologic Technology program or Associate’s degree in Radiologic Technology
ARRT registered in Radiography (ARRT R)
BLS certification through the American Heart Association
Clinical and technical competency in Mammography meeting MQSA requirements
ARRT (M) registration (or ability to obtain within 12 months of start)
Illinois (IEMA) license or willingness to obtain (approximately one week)
At least 1 year of direct mammography experience
Previous travel experience required
Preferred Qualifications
Three or more years of mammography experience
Experience in hospital and outpatient settings
