The Johns Hopkins Hospital Surgical Progressive Care Unit is a 32-bed general surgical unit. The unit offers three levels of care: Floor, Telemetry, and Intermediate Medical Care (IMC). Services provided: IMC patient arrythmia management, BiPAP/CPAP, bedside bronchoscopy, Thoracicsurgery (lung resections, pneumonectomy, esophagectomy), Trauma, Urology (RRP, TURP), and variety of other general surgery patients. You will help lead different initiatives and support the Nurse Manager in the day-to-day operations of the unit, provide resources to staff and help provide patient care. This role is vital in ensuring the unit runs smoothly.

Lead Clinical Nurse

(RN) provides guidance and direction to staff and acts in the absence of the Assistant Nurse Manager/Nurse Manager to oversee a clinical team during care delivery and unit operations.

Qualifications:

BSN/MSN

from an accredited nursing program

required .

Active Maryland or Compact RN license is required

BLS CPR certification required

Must have at least 3 years of acute care RN work experience;

Ability to lead others, assist in development & implementation of procedures for the unit, use principles of conflict resolution, recommend resource utilization, and implement performance management of staff.

Salary Range: Minimum $46.57/hour - Maximum $72.18/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
